Silestone Quartz by Cosentino

ECO by Cosentino® is an original product manufactured from 75% of recycled materials such as mirror, glass, porcelain, earthenware, and vitrified ash. Even 94% of the water used in its manufacturing process is re-used.

ECO by Cosentino® is a new product that embraces sustainability, design and quality that has produced a new category of recycled surfaces. These are an ecological alternative to similar surfaces available for construction and decoration.

ECO by Cosentino® was created by a comprehensive research and development project carried out by the multinational Spanish company which has reinvested a major part of its annual income in promoting new technologies to create this state-of-the-art product. All the manufacturing processes comply with high environmental standards; which makes ECO by Cosentino® a highly sustainable and unique product.

PaperStone

PaperStone is a composite material that is made from up to 50% post-consumer recycled paper. The color of the finished panel is determined by the recycled paper content, the recycled paper type (e.g. old cardboard containers versus mixed office waste), the phenolic resin and the pigments and dyes that are used. Because of all of these factors and the natural tendency of phenolic resins to darken and 'yellow' over time, we cannot guarantee that color will match precisely batch-to-batch. We have instead chosen to let the natural progression of aging proceed to produce an authentic product that matches to your expectation of what a natural product is supposed to do. PaperStone comes in the colors shown to suit any design style in the kitchen, bath or office.

1) 'Original', which is made from 50% post-consumer waste, recycled paper

2) 'Certified', the FSC, Smartwood and Rainforest Alliance-certified product which is made from 100% post-consumer waste paper.

3) 'Virgin Series' made from virgin fiber.

Alkemi Recycled Surface Material

ALKEMI - acrylic recycled solid surface material is certified by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), a leading organization in the evaluation of sustainable materials. This certification confirms that ALKEMI - acrylic contains 91% post-industrial scrap.

As stated on the SCS website, "SCS is a leading third-party provider of certification, auditing and testing services, and standards, founded in 1984, who's mission is to recognize the highest levels of performance in food safety and quality, environmental protection and social responsibility in the private and public sectors, and to stimulate continuous improvement in sustainable development."
